Based on reviews, I was nervous about the height and narrowness of the bluffs and the hike on the way out. there is a shorter hike alternative that is only 3 miles instead if 6 if you want less hiking. Its an out and back hike, so you will return the same way as you came.One important thing we wanted to mention about this trail is its name. The footbridge will be re-installed in late-Spring 2023. As long as youre cautious, youll be totally fine! You could likely squeeze through this hole, but wed suggest going down below it on the more traditional trail to get around it. All the rain that we get in springtime makes for beautiful, lush trees, wildflowers are beginning to bloom and the river is higher. After soaking in the views for a bit and snapping tons of photos, we headed back on the Goat Trail to the Centerpoint Trail. We got there later in the morning and luckily saw a couple, but from quite a distance. Yes, its beautiful. Since this is a little over 6-mile hike, that makes it a more pleasant experience. You should especially avoid that when the water is high. This, ladies + gentlemen, is my favorite view in Arkansas. The mountains that surround the area are also very beautiful! Super safe trail until after you get past the eye and then it starts to feel a bit sketchy but worth it.
